Asian Art Valuation Day with Lars Tharp

Antiques Roadshow Asian art expert Lars Tharp FSA is coming to Derbyshire to carry out free valuations.

Lars is an authority and specialises in the appraisal of all manner of Asian art.  This is not limited but includes ceramics, jade, ivory, bronze, prints, netsukes, snuff bottles and literally anything with oriental flair.

At a similar event last year Lars discovered an 18th Century Chinese vase being used as a doorstop which went on to sell for a record £650,000 and a snuff bottle collection which totalled £12,000.

Ever wondered if grannie’s old Chinese vase is Ming or is that old piece of jade you inherited worth a fortune?  Lars can also advise on ivory legislation.  The Asian art market is as strong as ever with buyers in the Far East hungry to buy back their heritage.  Life changing experiences can happen by seeking the right advice.

Entries are being invited for a specialist Asian Art Auction on 31st March.

Lars Tharp is a Guest Consultant for Hansons Auctioneers and will be at their Etwall Auction Centre on Wednesday 15th February from 10am to 4pm to carry out free valuations.  Please note this event is strictly by appointment only.
